It works! it looks cool! Matches the decor with the black zx spectrum next! I was also positively surprised that scroll wheel works with the next. (Depends on the software, of course). Being a laser mouse, it practically weighs nothing, which may matter to some.

Really, REALLY looks the part. Nice Next-style splash under your palm, buttons are responsive and the scroll wheel clicks nicely. Feels like a Logitech, but one of the good ones like the M185 before they ruined them. Plugs in sturdily and is accessible from BASIC and using other software like SymbOS. Very, very responsive.

It’s exactly what you’d hope for. A quality modern PS/2 mouse that you can plug into your Next, that just seems like it totally matches the original hardware. Worked great in my testing (which admittedly was a little bit limited since I generally don’t have much call for a mouse on a ZX Spectrum, and my early QL core is far from reliable). I will say, that I’ve had some problems connecting _both_ a mouse and a Keyboard at the same time to my Next, and this mouse didn’t fix those problems, but it didn’t make them any worse. Overall, would totally recommend.
